Better than being outside in 90+ degrees...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Someone, i think maybe paddy from the SL tribune comment section, mentioned how US players have terrible first touches.   Today i agree with him, and i would like to add that mls players seem to be taking first touches when they ought to be first-timing the ball into the back of the net.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time and again (Laurent Merlin comes to mind) i saw brilliant through passes that split the defense, only to have the forward touch the ball once or twice and give the 'keeper and the defense time to close in.
